Foxconn Technology Group has not created enough jobs in 2019 to earn tax credits, the second year it has missed its targets, according to a report from CNBC.com.
The planned $10 billion, 20-million-square-foot campus for the supplier of LCD screens was hailed by the White House as the largest investment for a brand new location by a foreign-based company in U.S. history. Foxconn has promised to eventually create 13,000 jobs in Wisconsin. Gov. Tony Evers has sought to renegotiate the state’s contract with Foxconn that currently outlines $4 billion in tax breaks and other incentives. The company needs to employ a minimum of 520 full-time workers to get the tax credit.
