Afra Smith of The Melanin Project and Veronica Barnes of Mindset2Money have announced the first Wealth Literacy Conference to be held from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on April 29 at the Goodman Community Center. As the economic disparity gap continues to grow for historically marginalized communities, this event seeks to change the conversation from financial literacy to wealth literacy. The Wealth Literacy Conference will touch on and teach lessons in financial wellness, economic mobility, action planning, and connect attendees to community resources.
