East side Woodman’s is getting a $4M remodel
Madison east side’s Woodman’s grocery store is undergoing a $4 million remodeling process with the goal of increasing the number of grocery items the store carries and expanding its natural and organic aisle, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The project started in March and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The store at 3817 Milwaukee St. will get a new meat department and a raised ceiling in its produce department, as well as aesthetic modifications and a roof repair.
Janesville-based Woodmans has 19 stores, with 13 in Wisconsin and six in Illinois. Most of these have 2.5 aisles of natural and organic foods, while the Madison East location has just one.
