Doyenne announces starter program for investors
The Doyenne Group announced the launch of its Doyenne Investor Accelerator, a 12-week program designed to equip women with the skills and knowledge to invest in startups, according to the organization. The program is open to anyone who identifies as a woman and/or a member of a marginalized gender class. Participants do not have to qualify as accredited investors, and payment plans are available for participants.
Women occupy less than 4% of all venture capital (VC) manager roles across the U.S., and in 2020, women-led startups received just 2.3% of VC funding. The accelerator program blends online learning, virtual workshops, and partnership events to build women’s financial knowledge and their ability to evaluate companies, make smart investments, and remain engaged after deals are made.
