Conveyor belt sushi restaurant to open on west side

After a fire forced the closure of Takara Japanese Restaurant in 2019, the business is reopening with a new name and business model, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Takara Sushi Station is expected to open on Aug. 1 at 696 S. Whitney Way with a conveyor belt sushi transport system. The belt will bring about 100 items of different types of sushi rolls and pieces of nigiri at a time to customers. They can then choose as many of the items as they would like from the belt for an all-you-can-eat price of $28.95 per person.
