DANEnet, a nonprofit that helps fellow nonprofits and local residents with tech support, is holding an Earth Day E-Cycling Event to collect old electronics and medical equipment. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 22, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Alliant Energy Center.
DANEnet is working with Cascade Asset Management and the Wisconsin Medical Project to collect tech devices and medical equipment. All data on tech devices will be safely erased. Working computers will be fixed up and either sold to raise money for DANEnet or given to families who don’t have a computer through the Digital Equity Project. Devices that don’t work will be taken apart and safely recycled by Cascade Asset Management.
