Master Lock is closing its world headquarters in Oak Creek and relocating jobs to a new headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Parent company Fortune Brands Innovations Inc. — whose portfolio also includes Moen, House of Rohl, Aqualisa, SpringWell, Therma-Tru, Fiberon, SentrySafe, and Yale Residential — said it is consolidating its offices.
The news comes less than a year after Master Lock’s Milwaukee plant closed permanently. The company has more than a century-long history in the Milwaukee area.
Roughly 120 employees at the Oak Creek facility will be affected. Workers are being offered the chance to retain their relocated jobs as well as relocation assistance. The company expects to have the capacity for over 1,000 employees at the Deerfield headquarters by the end of 2027.
