The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Camp Randall south end zone renovation was named one of the most significant construction projects of 2024, the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) announced on Wednesday. As a result, the project’s contractor, JP Cullen, received the association’s Baldwin Group Build America Award for the best design-build building valued under $100 million and the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering and Collaboration Award for a building project valued more than $20 million.
JP Cullen completed the first major update to the UW football stadium since 2005. The team replaced 6,000 bleacher seats with 2,500 premium seats, which now include access to hospitality clubs with indoor and outdoor spaces, new food and beverage offerings and a climate-controlled environment. The team completed the work on budget in just nine months.
