Sauerkraut company Fermented Food Holdings (FFH) relocated its corporate headquarters from Florida to Madison, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The company, established in 2021 and now based in the city’s American Center Business Park, plans to expand its sauerkraut factory in northeastern Wisconsin.

FFH has purchased fermented food brands over the past couple of years, including Great Lakes Kraut in 2022, with a facility located in Outagamie County’s Bear Creek, west of Green Bay. FFH’s $13 million expansion of the factory will add a new fermentation room, a cooler, and production line set to boost the facility’s capacity by 20 million pounds of cabbage annually — a 20% increase over current production. It will also add 41 jobs.

Nineteen workers are employed at FFH’s new corporate headquarters, located in an office building at 4600 American Parkway, which is also home to the Midwest Food Products Association.
