Charter Communications (Charter) announced it will close the regional operations department at its Madison facility, located at 5133 W. Terrace Drive, Suite 100, 300, according to a recent WARN notice. The action is expected to be permanent.
The entire facility will not be closed as a result of this action. It will affect an anticipated 50 employees who will be separated beginning July 8. A list of affected positions and the number of employees in those positions is available here.
Charter does not employ any employees represented by a union at its Madison facility and does not recognize “bumping rights” that would allow any employee to displace another employee, based on seniority or any other factor.
