Bluephies restaurant will close at the end of April after 22 years on Monroe Street.

The restaurant will be remodeled into a new restaurant concept later this year, according to the Food Fight Restaurant Group. Bluephies was its third restaurant to open in the Madison area. It now has 18.

In a release, Food Fight President and CEO Monty Schiro commented on the closing: “It’s bittersweet for us. We have had 22 great years as Bluephies, and it has been a significant part of our group.”

Details on the new restaurant have yet to be released.
