WRA offers cautious 2019 housing outlook

After 2018 came in just slightly off pace from 2017 in terms of statewide home sales, Wisconsin REALTORS Association President/CEO Michael Theo suggests that a recent decline in housing affordability combined with slowing economic growth may temper housing demand, although he stops short of predicting a 2019 recession.

“While there’s a lot of uncertainty about the future direction of the economy, especially given the volatility in the stock market, we’re cautiously optimistic about Wisconsin’s housing market in 2019,” Theo stated in the latest housing release.
