WPS to open on-site clinic

WPS Health Insurance will open the WPS Health and Wellness Center, an on-site clinic for employees, at its Monona headquarters. QuadMed, a Sussex-based company that operates 36 clinics in 22 states, will run the clinic, which will be available to WPS employees and their families for immunizations, exams, preventive screenings, labs, and wellness services. Preventive visits will be free of charge to employees, and those needing other care will reportedly pay less than they do at other clinics. Employees will not be required to use the clinic, which WPS believes will reduce health care costs and improve employee health. WPS will pay $650,000 for the service, which should pay for itself in about two years.
