Wollersheim harvest bit by cold

A spring cold snap seriously bit the vineyards at Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac, and will result in the worst crop loss in about 30 years, according to reports.

Seventy-five percent of the red grapes and 25% of the white grapes were lost.

The entire 32-acre vineyard was affected when overnight temperatures reached 27 degrees.
