Wisconsin State Patrol to assist with enforcement on Madison Beltline
Wisconsin State Patrol officers will keep an eye out for traffic violations on the Beltline starting Wednesday. They will patrol the Beltline between Middleton and Interstate 39/90, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies in Dane County.
The State Patrol’s primary mission is public safety, which includes enforcing traffic laws to help make sure drivers reach their destinations safely. Enforcement missions are announced publicly to reinforce State Patrol’s goal to improve safety through voluntary compliance with traffic laws, not simply to stop or cite drivers. Motorists are urged to follow traffic laws and eliminate distractions while driving.
