Wisconsin jumps in CNBC’s business ranking
CNBC’s latest “Top States for Business” ranking shows Wisconsin gaining ground. The state ranked No. 17, up from No. 22 in 2013 and No. 29 in 2010. CNBC scores all 50 states using 56 different measures in 10 categories, including the cost of doing business, the economy, infrastructure, workforce, quality of life, technology and innovation, education, business friendliness, access to capital, and cost of living.
Georgia garnered the top spot, followed by second-ranked Texas, while Hawaii and Rhode Island brought up the rear at No. 49 and No. 50, respectively.
