Wisconsin Bankers Association, Community Bankers of Wisconsin to merge
The boards of both the Wisconsin Bankers Association and Community Bankers of Wisconsin have announced a merger of their organizations. The transaction is expected to be completed on Feb. 27 or no later than March 31. Jerry O’Connor, chairman of Community Bankers of Wisconsin, said in a release that the merger will create “a single organization focused on supporting the continued longevity of Wisconsin banks.”
The combined organization will operate under the Wisconsin Bankers Association name, and its executive leadership will include Rose Oswald Poels, president/CEO; Daryll Lund, executive vice president/chief of staff; and Mike Semmann, executive vice president/COO. The Wisconsin Bankers Association is the state’s largest financial industry trade association.
