Wilson Street housing complex gets nod

The Madison Plan Commission approved a five-story apartment building for 616-632 W. Wilson St. at the site of a former construction yard and warehouse. It will be transformed into 58 market-rate apartments and 57 parking spaces.

Wilson 600 LLC owns the property and Walter Wayne Development will manage it, according to The Capital Times. Four homes built between 1884 and 1904 and used as apartments will be demolished.

Construction should begin this summer and completed in about a year.
