WIAA boys tourney contract extended in Madison

State boys high school basketball championships in football, golf, wrestling, and softball will continue to call Madison and UW facilities home after the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) and the UW Athletic Department agreed to extend the contracts another five years, through the spring of 2025.

The WIAA and Green Bay’s Resch Center also secured a five-year extension of  the state girls high school basketball and boys and girls volleyball tournaments through 2025.

According to a release, WIAA State tournaments in Madison drew a paid attendance of 220,557 in 2016–17, plus thousands of additional participants, coaches, and school administrators.
