West Washington mixed-use project proposed
Greenway Real Estate of Madison has proposed a five-story, mixed-use apartment complex on West Washington Avenue, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
As proposed, the structure would include 51 apartments and ground floor commercial space, but it would also require the demolition of a Kelley’s Market and Mobil gas station now on the site.
Neighborhood discussions are underway for the project, at 636 W. Washington Ave., the site of the old Hotel Washington and a host of other businesses, which burned down years ago.
