West Broadway considered for low-income housing project
Movin’ Out and Mirus Partners are proposing a $6.5 million, 36-unit affordable housing complex at 2230 W. Broadway on Madison’s south side, across from South Towne Mall. The development will target lower-income workers, people with disabilities, and veterans who need housing.
The complex would offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as surface and underground parking to those making between 30% ($21,850 for a family of three) and 80% ($57,550 for a family of three) of the area’s median income.
The developers will receive a $720,000 loan from the city. They are also applying for $3.3 million in WHEDA low-income tax credits.
