Wellbe raises nearly $5M

Madison-based Wellbe, a company that provides integrated care delivery for hospitals and health care systems through a cloud-based platform, launched a $5 million investment round on Feb. 1 that ends March 15.

Thus far, according to a Milwaukee BizTimes report, 32 investors have committed $4.6 million, led by WISC Partners.

The company hasn’t grown as it had expected since launching in 2009 due to a shift in the health care industry from pay-for-service to pay-for-performance, according to Wellbe founder James Diaz.
