WEDC details goals for recovery, Evers boosts grants

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) has released a report that recommends lawmakers work on providing workforce opportunities, supporting businesses, and improving Wisconsinites’ well-being to rebuild the state economy and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a release from the organization.

The report comes on the heels of Gov. Tony Evers’ announced plan to spend more than $46 million in grant funding for an estimated 9,300 small businesses across the state that applied for pandemic aid. The funding comes from the federal stimulus bill passed in December and will be facilitated by WEDC and the state Department of Revenue in the form of $5,000 grants through the “We’re All In” grant program.
