Waunakee local business alliance to host events benefiting Project Brave May 17–20

According to the Waunakee Tribune, a number of local businesses have formed an alliance called Waunakee Unites to raise funds for area organizations. Ultimately the group intends to establish nonprofit status. 

This year, events held May 17–20 will benefit Waunakee Project Brave, a nonprofit that focuses on mental health support. Waunakee Unites hopes to raise between $10,000­–15,000 for the organization. 

Local shops will donate a portion of their proceeds to Project Brave; events will also include the painting of a mural on the Gather Building on Main Street and a performance by the Waunakee Project Brave Band at Lone Girl Brewing on May 17.
