Waukesha solar panel installer accused of not completing work in Dane County

Waukesha-based Sun Badger Solar is being investigated for not doing work in Dane County that customers already paid for, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies have responded to five complaints from people in Dane County stating they paid Sun Badger Solar to install solar panels, but the work was never done. The losses total $165,000.

Sun Badger reportedly furloughed employees and stopped doing solar projects in January. Lawsuits have since been filed against the company and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is investigating dozens more complaints.
