WalletHub ranks Madison No. 34 among large cities for startup opportunities  

In a WalletHub study published today, which evaluated relative startup opportunities existing nationwide based on factors such as five-year business-survival rate, labor costs, and office-space affordability, Madison was ranked 34th out of 100 large U.S. cities. It also ranked 3rd specifically in terms of access to business resources. 

By comparison, Milwaukee ranked 69th overall, coming in 51st in access to resources; however, it ranked 24th in business costs, while Madison came in 52nd. Both Madison and Milwaukee show room for improvement in terms of business environment, where the cities ranked 72nd and 89th, respectively.
