Verona to host Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run of South-Central Wisconsin’s annual spring 5K is set to take place in Verona for the first time ever, according to the Verona Press. The event, presented by SSM Health, will take place on Saturday, June 3 at 9 a.m. at the Verona Area High School.

The run represents the culmination of Girls on the Run’s largest spring season to date, with over 320 volunteer coaches supporting upward of 1,120 girls at 78 sites throughout the region.

Participation is open to the public, and the event is family friendly. The proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run of South-Central Wisconsin. Online registration runs through May 30; registration will also be available the day of the event.
