UW secures $75M donation for computer sciences building

A $75 million donation has ensured the University of Wisconsin–Madison will build a new home for its School of Computer, Data, and Information Services, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The new 300,000-square-foot, seven-story building will be located at the corner of Orchard Street and University Avenue and is estimated to cost $225 million, all of which will be privately funded. John and Tashia Morgridge have donated $75 million for the building with a promise to match another $50 million of funds raised by UW.
