Upscale cocktail lounge to open in Avenir building

Nitro, a cocktail lounge serving trendy nitrogen-infused drinks, will open at 510 W. Washington Ave. later this year, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Courtney and Ace McCarty of Sun Prairie plan to open Nitro in November or December on the ground level of Avenir apartments at the corner of Washington Avenue and Bassett Street. The lounge will join Harvey House and RED sushi in the trendy bar and restaurant corridor on West Washington Avenue. The couple also owns a nitrogen-infused beverage bicycle business called Lucca & Livvy Premium Beverages.
