United Way of Dane County invites community to fundraising campaign kickoff event

United Way of Dane County, continuing its work to increase family well-being so that every family has what it needs for healthy, thriving, and secure lives, is inviting Dane County residents to be a part of the change by attending the kickoff of this year’s community fundraising campaign.

The event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 2:30–4:30 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field and include an afternoon of family-friendly volunteer activities as well as a chance to sample all United Way has to offer at the Explore United Carnival. Attendees will receive a free United Way Volunteer T-shirt, participate in games and activities for prizes, enjoy ice cream and kettle corn, learn about the community and involvement opportunities, and create Paper Product ImPacks to be distributed to local families through United Way’s nonprofit partners.
