United Way accepting micro-investment grant applications

United Way of Dane County announced the availability of $50,000 in grant funding, made available through its 2022 Micro-Investment Grants Initiative. The application period will run until 11:59 p.m. on April 8, 2022. Proposals and requests for up to $5,000 are being accepted from grassroots organizations working to achieve racial equity and social justice for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Southeast Asian, or individuals and/or families of color in Dane County with an annual operating budget of $50,000 or less.

As the organization marks 100 years, major gifts and lead donors will be recognized in response to the Corporate Challenge Grant set by American Family Insurance, a $5 million matching program by the company. Participants in the challenge include:

  • Madison Gas and Electric – $500,000;
