Union Corners phase II to break ground

Gorman & Co. announced a groundbreaking event scheduled for May 18 for phase II of the $60 million Union Corners development encompassing 7.6 acres at 2518 Winnebago Street in Madison.

Carbon at Union Corners is a public/private partnership with the city, the county, and WHEDA, and is Union Corners’ first residential phase. It will be a mixed-income, multi-use development with 90 apartment homes, 76 of which will be considered “affordable” for families at 30%, 50%, or 60% of Dane County’s median income.

The $17 million project is scheduled for completion in 2017.
