Two finalists chosen for MMSD superintendent post

Carol Kelley from Oak Park Elementary in Oak Park, Illinois and Carlton Jenkins from Robbinsdale School District in New Hope, Minnesota are the two final candidates for the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) superintendent position, according to a release from the district.

The candidates were selected from a pool of 33 applicants and will advance to interviews with the board. There will also be sessions with MMSD staff and students. Matthew Gutiérrez was selected for the open position earlier this spring but backed out of his acceptance to remain in his district and help it navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
