Time of change at Lake Edge Shopping Center

In a period marked by new tenants and conversions, more changes are on the way at the Lake Edge Shopping Center, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The 42,000-square-foot center, located at the corner of Buckeye Road and Monona Drive on Madison’s East Side, has already seen a consignment shop replaced by Lake Edge Seafood Co., a shop and seafood restaurant; Burn Boot Camp, a fitness facility for women, has taken over space that once housed a Ben Franklin store.

Three new tenants are expected by year's end, including a pet supply store with a dog daycare and grooming facilities to replace Happy Bambino, a new bike shop in the place of Madison Craft & Gift Shops, which is going out of business, and yet-to-be-named tenant to replace Elie’s Family Restaurant, which will close this spring.

Lake Edge now is owned by Galway Companies, which purchased it last year.
