Texas Roadhouse to open west Madison location

Sammy and Julie Nixon, owners of Texas Roadhouse franchises in Janesville, Sheboygan, and Appleton, expect to open a Texas Roadhouse location on the west side of Madison, in front of the Walmart off Watts Road.

According to an article from the Wisconsin State Journal, although plans for the restaurant began before the pandemic, they were put on hold because of it; the location opening is anticipated for June 12 and is only the second Texas Roadhouse location to open in Madison, joining the one near East Towne Mall.

The company began hiring Monday and is seeking 125 employees; 15 people have already been hired.
