TDS builds all-fiber networks in Dodgeville, Monroe, among several Wisconsin locations
Madison-based TDS Telecommunications LLC is expanding to Iowa County for the first time and building all-fiber networks in Dodgeville and Mineral Point, a press release stated today. The company’s Dodgeville project is underway, and work is expected to begin in Mineral Point in the coming weeks. Both projects will ultimately deliver super high-speed internet, TV, and phone services to approximately 3,700 addresses across both communities.
Construction work includes laying underground fiber in public utility easement areas in both neighborhoods and business parks. Beyond bringing super-fast internet speeds, TDS’ plans also mean residents gain a new TV and phone service provider choice.
TDS is also building all-fiber networks in Janesville, Onalaska, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Altoona. The company is investing nearly a billion dollars in fiber-optic expansion across the state. TDS has been doing business in Wisconsin for 54 years and serves customers in 32 states.
