Survey: Employers increase pay, benefits for employees
Gallagher’s 2022 U.S. Physical & Emotional Wellbeing Report found that 89% of employers enhanced employees’ base salaries in 2022, an 11% increase over 2021, and nearly all responders now offer medical benefits. The survey also found that 25% of Wisconsin employers now offer medical coverage to domestic partners and about 25% extend this benefit to part-time employees. Wisconsin employers are also increasing health benefits to meet more elective coverages, including:
- 35% cover infertility services or fertility treatments, with 100% covering fertility medications;
- 71% cover applied behavior analysis;
- 74% cover autism spectrum disorder treatment;
- 52% cover bariatric surgery;
- 39% cover genetic testing;
- 32% offer transgender-inclusive benefits other than surgery; and
- 23% cover gene therapy services.
