Sun Prairie to host library expansion project fundraiser
According to NBC15, the city of Sun Prairie will be hosting a Party in the Prairie event to help the Sun Prairie Library Expansion project reach its fundraising goal of $3.5 million. Currently, 51% of the goal funds have been raised.
The Party in the Prairie event will be held next to the city’s public library on Sept. 30 and will feature performances from three bluegrass bands, including Cork n Bottle String Band, Soggy Prairie, and Barbaro. The event will also include food trucks, beer, games, and more.
The library expansion project stems from increased community need, with Sun Prairie seeing 80% growth since the library’s construction in 1999.
Tickets for the event are available on the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation’s website.
