State recognizes minority businesses

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. presented awards to minority and women-owned Wisconsin companies at the 2013 Governor’s Conference on Minority Business Development in Milwaukee. BCP Transportation, Inc. of Deerfield received the Rising Star Award, given to women-owned companies that have been in business for four years or less. Other award recipients included Menominee Tribal Enterprises, Neopit; Belonger Corp., West Bend; Seek Careers/Staffing, Inc., Grafton; and Key Milwaukee, Mequon.
