State, Printpack announce $72 investment in Rhinelander

Printpack, Inc. in Rhinelander, is planning a $72 million investment for a new plant and equipment, and is eligible for a combination of tax credits and loan from the State of Wisconsin.

The project will help retain 138 jobs and add up to 12 more jobs in Rhinelander.

Printpack is eligible for a $1.7 million loan and $300,000 in tax credits for capital investment through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. In addition, WEDC and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority will help Printpack obtain up to $12 million in New Market Tax Credits to support the company’s expansion.

Printpack produces flexible and rigid packaging around salty snacks, confections, baked goods and cereal, and tissues and paper towels. The company manufactures packaging at more than 25 plants in the US, UK, Mexico, Poland, and China.
