State commits $8.3 Million for COVID-19 testing at higher education facilities
Gov. Tony Evers has committed $8.3 million to support COVID-19 testing efforts at Wisconsin’s private, nonprofit, and tribal colleges and universities, according to a release from the administration.
The funding increase comes as positive cases of COVID-19 are increasing at an alarming rate among 18- to 24-year-olds in campus communities. The funds are coming from federal CARES Act dollars.
