State announces grants for entrepreneurial vets

The state of Wisconsin has awarded $400,000 in grants to six nonprofit organizations, including two in Dane County, to provide entrepreneurial and employment training to military veterans.

Among the grant recipients are Bunker Labs in Madison, which will receive $238,556 to provide training to veteran entrepreneurs through its Innovator Academy program, and Michelangelo’s Workshop in Middleton, which is receiving $4,925 to teach veterans the artistic skills, carving processes, and businesses strategies required for ownership or employment in the stone-sculpting business.
