StartingBlock announces leadership change, cohort participants

StartingBlock Madison has announced that Executive Director Nora Roughen-Schmidt will be leaving the organization to join the Southwest Wisconsin Small Business Development Center as a consultant. StartingBlock also announced the companies chosen to participate in the fourth Social Impact Cohort, a nine-month program that gives founders free coworking space at StartingBlock and programming to help them grow and scale their social impact ventures. The businesses and founders chosen for this year’s cohort are:

  • Beyond Words Productions LLC, Jamie Perez; 
  • Let’s Teach Ourselves To Code, Max Koch; 
  • Stellar Tech Girls, Marina Bloomer; 
  • Main Street Thrive, Diane Reiner; 
  • Mini In, Gretchen Erdmann-Hermans; 
  • The Layered Onion, Linda Syth; and 
  • Sharing Wellness, Nisa Giaquinto, Sarah Dimick, and Sarah Boatman.
