Stars are aligned for IB Expo

From the pages of In Business magazine.

School is back in session, football is in full gear, and the leaves are turning. Yes, fall is here, and in IB’s world that can mean only one thing — the annual In Business Expo and Conference is just around the corner!

This year, we are going with a Hollywood theme as we showcase the stars of the Madison business community. No, we didn’t have the budget to bring in the “A-list” stars from the real red carpet, so you won’t be seeing the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio or Jennifer Lawrence walking the Expo floor.

However, we will bring a slice of stardom to the show while shining a bright light on area businesses and business leaders who will be the stars of our show! Here are just a few of the highlights you’ll see on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Alliant Energy Center.

  • Learn to ignite bold leadership in your organization: In keeping with our Hollywood theme, we kick off the show with a keynote presentation from Libby Gill, a former executive with Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, and Turner Broadcasting. She will draw on her experience with these iconic movie and television studios to teach attendees how to ignite bold leadership by creating engagement, inspiring purpose, and driving action.
  • See the stars of Madison business: Seven of Madison’s biggest business stars will take center stage and share their leadership tips, challenges and opportunities facing their industries, and lessons learned during their careers.
  • Make vital business connections: With over 100 companies expected to exhibit, and more than 1,100 attendees expected to walk through the doors, thousands of connections await. You’ll also have the opportunity to win valuable prizes as you make these connections throughout the day by collecting signatures in your IB autograph books.

These are just a few of the reasons to join IB on Oct. 18. For all of the event details, please take a long look through the Expo Guide included with this issue of In Business magazine, or go directly to the expo website at www.MadisonBusinessExpo.com.

There is a nominal ticket fee to attend the keynote breakfast, but the rest of this all-day event is free to attend. To speed your entry into the Expo Hall, pre-register on the website.

Come join us as we spotlight the many stars of our Madison business community!
