Staffing issues force Pedro’s Mexican Restaurante to close dining room
After 42 years, Pedro’s Mexican Restaurante on Madison’s east side has closed its dining room due to staffing issues and there’s no word when the restaurant may reopen to dine-in guests, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
Owner Jim Martine officially closed the dining room and bar area on March 21 and is for now focusing his efforts on catering and selling Pedro’s tortilla chips and margaritas in retail stores. He hopes the move is just temporary, but notes staffing is harder and harder to come by in Madison.
