Sonic Foundry narrows loss in second quarter

Sonic Foundry posted a narrower loss for its second fiscal quarter ending March 31. The Mediasite technology firm showed a net loss of $27,000 (1 cent/share) on revenues of $6.4 million. That compares with a net loss of $115,000 (3 cents/share) on $5.9 million in revenues for the same period in 2012.

The positive news continued in Sonic Foundry’s first fiscal six months. The company posted a net loss of $166,000 (4 cents/share) and $13 million in revenues. That compares favorably to 2012, when the company reported a net loss of $300,000 (8 cents/share) and $12.1 million in revenues.
