Sonic Foundry begins work on GLX Hub in the Bahamas
Madison-based Sonic Foundry announced it has started construction of a Global Learning Exchange (GLX) Hub in the Bahamas to supplement online learning programs. Located in central Nassau and scheduled for completion in July 2022, the hub will support students relative to online learning programs — including in-person admissions and enrollment assistance, a positive study environment, tutoring, and other academic resources — while also serving as a facility for social and collaborative learning activities. The GLX Hub hopes to address three issues facing most underdeveloped countries: little infrastructure, not enough university seats for students who want to attend college, and overall knowledge loss.
