Soglin vetoes Koi Sushi liquor license

Once again citing public safety concerns in downtown Madison, Mayor Paul Soglin has vetoed the granting of a liquor license to Koi Sushi, 502 State St., according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The sushi restaurant, which had previously lost its liquor license due to illegal remodeling work, last week had its liquor license restored by the City Council after returning the facility to its previous condition. The Council would need 14 votes to override the veto.
