SHINE Technologies announces 59 layoffs in Janesville, Beloit 

According to the DWD, SHINE Technologies LLC has provided notice of a mass layoff at its Janesville facilities located at 3400 Innovation Ct., 4021 US51, and 4027 S. US, US-51, as well as its Beloit facility at 1306 W. B R Townline Rd.

The company stated it does not believe that a notice is required under either the Wisconsin Business Closing and Mass Layoff Law or the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, but it is providing such notice out of an abundance of caution.

Due to cash flow issues because of the investment market and other factors, SHINE took immediate action to reduce its workforce. The mass layoff affected 59 individuals. All layoffs took place on Aug. 8, with no additional dates scheduled at this time. The affected employees will be laid off on a permanent basis.
