SAFC to expand Verona facility

SAFC is spending between $10 million and $15 million to add another 13,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and 2,500 sq. ft. of office space to its Verona facility. The company produces pharmaceutical ingredients used in a wide variety of prescription drugs. The Verona expansion, which should be complete by July, is expected to result in the hiring of another 10 to 15 employees. SAFC, a wholly owned Wisconsin subsidiary of St. Louis-based Sigma-Adrich Corp., also has a location at University Research Park. The company currently employs about 155 workers in the Madison area.
